Thinking of NYEs past...

Sitting doing the last feed of the day thinking about the many New Year's Eves that I've had (27 to be precise). There were the house parties we used to host when I was younger where we'd wear our fanciest clothes and friends and family would come round for food, drinks, quizzes and games. There was the freezing cold night on the quayside and many other freezing nights spent on palace green with friends. There was the quiet night in our favourite Indian in Essex with good friends and more recently, dinner and drinks with the whole family at my Auntie and uncle's house. This year Rob and I went out for a couple of drinks while Mum had Henry then we picked up a curry and went back there to eat it. Now I'm feeding my gorgeous boy in bed and when he's asleep I'll tiptoe out and go and sit downstairs with my gorgeous husband and raise a toast to what has been an amazing year.

The thing that all of these New Years Eves have in common is that I've spent them with people I love and at midnight, as the fireworks light the sky, I've always had something to be thankful for and something to look forward to...this year more than ever before. 2013 you were amazing, 2014 has a lot to live up to.
