Holiday Day 6 - A day involving a lot of cake

Got up this morning to a bacon sandwich and a happy boy who'd been playing with his Marmar for an hour so I could sleep. M&P have now left so I'm hoping Mr B will take over the baby duties in the morning so the lie ins can continue.

We went to a local produce market in Docking this morning. It's on every week and local producers fill the village hall with their goods to sell. An old man was telling us that when he was young, Docking had 17 shops and now there is only 1...a Spar. How sad. It's great that they still have a market each week though and we picked up a couple of nice things while we were there.

We then went for tea and cake to the Deli cafe up the road from us in Thornham. Lemon meringue pie and a cup of tea is a totally acceptable lunch when on holiday, don't you know?!

I had a lovely afternoon snuggle and snooze with the baby hen while Mr B and George went for a beach walk in the rain. All these long walks are tiring George out but he is in his element. The beach is definitely his favourite place and I love it because there's no muddy dog to clean, sand and water are much easier to dry when we get home!
After Henry woke up from his nap we went back to Titchwell Manor for drinks and cake. I had a glass of prosseco and 3 mini cakes...which took my cake count up to 4 for the day, pretty impressive! We chatted about how much our lives have changed since having the hen, this picture says it all really...
Sophie comes everywhere with us now!!
We had a lovely afternoon and Henry was an angel, as usual.

We then went to the Jolly Sailors pub up the road for a quick drink. They do takeaway pizzas which are cooked in their stone pizza oven and they were absolutely divine. A perfect tea when you have a baby which means that you don't want to stay out late to eat.

Henry is now asleep, Mr B has lit the fire and we are having a quiet night in, just the 3 of us and a very sleepy dog.
