44 Happy Summer Days - Day 20
A really gorgeous sunny day here today and we spent it wisely in the great outdoors. We went for a walk along part of Hadrian's Wall in search of the famous sycamore tree that featured in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. We eventually found it and had a picnic underneath. The hills were so steep and I had Henry in the sling so it was a good trek, I've definitely earned my dinner tonight! Just as we were walking back to the car, George decided to find a stagnant, deep puddle to run into. He and Genie were filthy so we were then in search of some water on the way home, so stopped at Derwent Reservoir for them to have a swim. It was so beautiful and peaceful at that time of the afternoon, we'll definitely be back soon.
