What a difference the sun makes

Today was a beautiful spring day, sunny and warm. I've walked miles with the pram with friends and the dog, eaten plenty of cake and Henry has loved it too. His little cheeks are so rosy tonight from all the fresh air.

A little bit of sun works wonders and I've been really happy all day. I really hope we have a hot summer, I have visions of picnics with my little pigwidgeon in the park, BBQs and Pimms in the garden and long dog walks by the river. This time last year I was dreading the hot summer. I was big and uncomfortable, couldn't drink the Pimms, eat rare steak off the BBQ or walk far at all. I'm hoping to make up for it this year!

Now what is it they say about fresh air helping children sleep?
