Saturday lunch out

We went for a wander around another farmers' market this morning and then called in to a local Italian for lunch. We'd never been before so didn't really know what to expect but it was fab.
This big boy sat in his highchair with his friend Sophie la Giraffe.

He even had a taste of Mummy's tomato. He loved it, sucked out all of the juice from the skin.

The restaurant itself was done out really nicely and it was busy considering it was only lunchtime.

The food was really good too. I had a caprese salad, lemon and thyme chicken with potatoes in a pomodoro sauce and then a plum and vanilla pannacotta.
Mr B had mixed fish to start, a chorizo pizza and tiramisu. It was 2 courses for £8.95 but we ended up eating 3 courses and having coffees too as well as 2 drinks each so it wasn't such a cheap lunch in the end!
It was lovely being out as a little family  and although not as relaxing as lunches before Henry was born, it was way more fun.

Henry didn't miss out on all the tasty food action today, he had swede purée when we got in. I cooked loads so luckily he liked it, our freezer is now full of swede ice cubes!!

Hope you had a happy Saturday too :-)
